Torres del Paine Glaciers and Serrano River – 4 days / 3 nights

Itinerary

Day 01: Punta Arenas – Puerto Natales – Hostel in Torres del Paine National Park: Reception at Punta Arenas airport (we recommend taking the first flights), transfer to the city to board a regular bus to the city of Puerto Natales (249 kms / 03:00 hrs.) Arrival to the city, immediate connection with private minibus that will transport us to Cabañas del Paine (100 kms from Puerto Natales), inserted in the Torres del Paine National Park. During the trip we will visit the imposing Natural Monument Cueva del Milodón. Arrival at Cabañas del Paine and accommodation.

Day 02: National Park of Paine: Breakfast. 09:30 Departure from Hostería to connect with an excursion bus, thus starting our visit to Torres del Paine National Park where the welcome is a beautiful panoramic view of the Paine mountain range. In addition we can admire lakes such as Sarmiento, Nordenskjold and Pehoe. Its rich fauna will be present through guanacos, foxes, among others, as well as a large number of birds, easily observable during the trip. A short walk will take us to the Salto Grande a large waterfall, part of the park’s hydrographic network. Then, returning to the main road, you can access the administrative headquarters of CONAF, to continue to Lake Gray, where after walking (30 minutes) in the middle of a thousand-year-old forest we will arrive at its beach where we will be able to admire a large number of icebergs. they come off the Glacier. Day 03: Torres del Paine National Park – Navigation to Glaciers – Puerto Natales .: Breakfast. At 09:00 hrs we begin our descent down the Serrano River, in Zodiac type boats with capacity for 10 people. In the navigation, warm and waterproof clothing is contemplated. The 32-kilometer trip will take approximately 4 hours, during which we can see beautiful views of this sector that is little visited, as well as panoramic views of the Tyndall and Geike glaciers, lush native forests and a series of peaks with eternal snow. Finishing the navigation in Zodiac we will arrive at Puerto Toro pier in the Bernardo O’Higgins National Park from where we will start a short hike in the middle of a native forest and along the lake shore until we reach the foot of the Serrano Glacier. A box lunch is included. At 14:00 hrs we will connect with a larger vessel to return to the city of Pto.Natales arriving at 17:00 hrs. approximately Transfer to hotel. Accommodation..
