An unforgettable experience is sailing through the southern fjords aboard the Patagonia Express catamaran to the Laguna San Rafael and its millenary glacier, where it is possible to feel the movement of the snowdrift, the crunch of its frozen mass, the thunderous detachment of huge chunks of millenary ice that fall to the lagoon. All this in a unique environment of unexplored nature
Start: Every Thursday: Balmaceda – Puyuhuapi Reception at Balmaceda airport. The journey begins through the Patagonian pampas of the Aysén region. Brief visit to the city of Coyhaique, to continue the trip along the Carretera Austral towards PUYUHUAPI TERMAS, HOTEL & SPA (5 hours). In the afternoon, you will arrive at the Río Unión pier, from where the crossing to the hotel takes place by boat in just 10 min.
Friday – Saturday – Sunday: Termas de Puyuhuapi, Hotel & Spa Visits to the Queulat National Park with its Hanging Snowdrift, bike rides along the Carretera Austral or if you wish, tour the Dorita Bay in boats and kayaks.
Monday :: Puyuhuapi – Laguna San Rafael – Chacabuco At 07:00 hrs. The journey begins through the southern fjords aboard the catamaran PATAGONIA EXPRESS to the San Rafael Lagoon. During this journey of approx. 07 hours the senses will rejoice with the transparency of the waters, the majesty of the Andes mountain range surrounded by lush forests, the play of light beams that intertwine with the clouds, and sometimes? playful encounters of dolphins and dolphins. The navigation route runs through different channels until finally entering the Tempanos River to the San Rafael Lagoon, which houses the millenary glacier. After a stay of approx. 2 hrs., Navigation returns to Chacabuco, the arrival will be around 22:30 hrs, and then be transferred to the hotel in that port.
Tuesday: Chacabuco – Balmaceda After breakfast, the bus trip is made along the road that runs along the Simpson River from Chacabuco to Coyhaique and then continues to the Balmaceda airport.
