The legendary and legendary Cape Horn is the last rocky promontory of the American continent and place where the Pacific and Atlantic oceans meet. Cape Horn, an almost vertical promontory 425 meters high, was discovered on January 30, 1616 by the Dutch commercial expedition organized by Isaac Le Maire, under the command of Captain Wilhem Schouten. The Cape owes its name to the Port of Hoorn, from where the expedition had sailed on June 14, 1615.
DAY 01: WEDNESDAY- Ushuaia: Check-in and boarding of passengers in the Mare Australis, directly in the port of Ushuaia from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The crew headed by your captain will welcome you on board. Cocktail with those who will be your cruise companions. Immediately after, the ship will set sail for Punta Arenas, through the Beagle Channel and the Patagonian channels. It is the beginning of a great adventure.
DAY 02: THURSDAY: Cape Horn? Bahia Wulaia Navigation through the Beagle Channel and the Murray Channel to disembark in the Cabo de Hornos National Park if Mother Nature allows it. The legendary and legendary Cape Horn is the last rocky promontory of the American continent and place where the Pacific and Atlantic oceans meet. In the afternoon, disembarkation in Wulaia Bay, an ancient indigenous settlement. This place also offers a visual spectacle of great beauty for its vegetation and geography.
DAY 03: FRIDAY: Pia Glacier. We will sail through the main branch of the Beagle Channel to Pia Bay and disembark in front of the glacier of the same name. We will start a walk to a viewpoint that offers excellent conditions for observing the mountain range where the glacier originates and all its displacement until it falls into the sea. We will hear the impressive sound caused by the release of large pieces of ice that fall into the sea. After this unforgettable experience, we will sail through the O`Brien and Ballenero channels, Desolada Bay, Paso Aguirre and Cockburn Channel.
DAY 04: SATURDAY: Magdalena Island-Punta Arenas Early in the morning, in the Strait of Magellan, we will disembark on Magdalena Island, home to an immense penguin colony of approximately 120,000 specimens in different stages of development. After a walk to the Lighthouse that guided the marine explorers in their passage through the Strait of Magellan, we will stop at Punta Arenas, where passengers can disembark from 11:30 am.
