PUERTO NATALES

Port Natales is the capital of the province of Ultima Esperanza, in the XII Region. Founded in 1911, it has just over 19,000 inhabitants, who are dedicated to livestock, the cultivation of orchards and vegetables, and services related to tourism.
The city gets its name from the Latin term “natalis” which means `birth ‘, since it is the first town to reach Esperanza last in the north. It received its name from its discoverer, Juan de Ladrillero, desperately looking for a western exit in the Strait of Magellan.
Puerto Natales is located in a privileged place by nature. It is surrounded by forests, ice fields, steep lands, archipelagos, valleys and deep fjords. In the same way, its city structure leaves nothing to be desired, as it is equipped with restaurants, cafes, museums, shops, hotels, inns, travel agencies and the southernmost casino in the world.
In addition, it houses a small airport that keeps you connected to any part of the world.
