In Patagonia there are several steps enabled to cross from Argentina to Chile. These are:
• Mount Aymond: It is located 196 kms from Punta Arenas, 165 meters high. It depends on the city of Punta Arenas, but is closer to Magallanes. Between April and October it has a defined schedule, between 8 in the morning and 10 in the evening, while the rest of the year remains open throughout the day.
• Don Guillermo River: connects Chile with Argentina through the town of Río Turbio, Villa Cerro Castillo and Puerto Natales. It works throughout the year, but only in summer is it open 24 hours a day.
• Dorotea: Located in the province of Última Esperanza, Puerto Natales joins the Argentine province of Río Turbio. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
• Casas Viejas: Located in the province of Ultima Esperanza, Puerto Natales joins the Argentine province of Río Turbio. It is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
• San Sebastián: in Tierra del Fuego, it joins that Chilean region with the Argentine province of Ushuaia and Rio Grande. Serves passengers all year round, 24 hours a day.
• Bellavista: Une Tierra del Fuego with Río Grande, in Argentina. It is open only in summer, when it serves the public between 8 in the morning and 8 at night.
In the area of Chile Chico and Coyhaique, there are three other border crossings:
• Paso Internacional Coyhaique Alto: 45 miles northeast of Coyhaique is located the Coyhaique Alto border crossing, the most important in the region, used by those passing through the region of Aysén and the Argentine territory, to the north and south of Chile. Towards the neighboring country it allows to reach the towns of Río Mayo and Comodoro Rivadavia.
• Balmaceda International Pass: It is 55 kms southeast of Coyhaique, closer to the city of Balmaceda. It allows the crossing to Argentina to visit Lago Blanco, Río Mayo, Las Horas, Perito Moreno and Comodoro Rivadavia. The crossing is also known as the Bioceanic Corridor.
• Chile Chico Border Crossing: 345 kilometers from Coyhaique, the Chile Chico pass is only 4 kilometers away. to the east of that locality and connects it with the Argentine localities of Perito Moreno and Los Antiguos.
